"Okinari no Michi" Walk in Edo, Tokyo (December 9th)

The final leg of the Onikane no Michi Walk, which has been held since September in Sado, Izumozaki, and Annaka City, Gunma Prefecture, was held in Edo and Tokyo on December 9th. Approximately 90 participants from the Edo period started in front of the Itabashi Ward Office in Tokyo and walked 11 kilometers along the old Nakasendo road to the finish line at Nihonbashi.

The "Okanka no Michi Walk" is organized by Sado City with the aim of promoting exchange with the areas along the Golden Road. It also serves as a way to build momentum for the "Sado Island Gold Mine" to be registered as a World Cultural Heritage site in 2024. The Golden Road Forum will be held at the Transportation Hall in Yurakucho on January 29, 2024.
